About

We are an engineer dad, a pediatric dentist mom, and an eight-year-old who has opinions about every itinerary.

We travel the way we like to eat: curious, a little greedy, and always on the hunt for the local favorite. We love historic places, we plan something fun for our child every day, and we never skip the dish a place is known for. We go by car, by plane and sometimes by train, and we take far too many photos, because collecting memories is half the point of a trip.

Why we started this

Most trip advice is written for couples or for travelers who never have to wonder whether a child will be bored by the fourth castle. We wanted itineraries written by a family that has actually done it with a child in tow.

We also know how different the same place feels with and without kids. We first explored London and Edinburgh in 2017, then went back in 2024 with our child. We visited Switzerland when our child was small and returned when they were older. We saw Vienna as a couple, and now we are planning to go back as a family. Every return trip taught us something new about what works for a family and what does not.

What you will find here

Day-by-day family itineraries with realistic timing, honest notes on what worked and what we would change, and the food stops we would happily return to. We are starting with the châteaux of the Loire Valley, and more destinations will follow.
